And it sure as hell didn't help that he wore it so loose upon his sleeve, that it would bounce like a yo-yo against the cement he walked upon, every short step in the direction of a pretty girl with a sweet smile. He'd been taught to respect women, and love and enjoy everything they had to offer, but sometimes, he let himself fall in too deeply, and ended up being that nice guy who started off well enough, but when it came down to it, finished last just like all the rest. He was known for putting his all into his relationships, and even more so letting the women in his life step on him, to his own misfortunes. It wasn't because his will was so easy to bend that it was possible; on the contrary, Tyler could be just as stubborn as his family name had openly been suggested, but he always found himself suckered, beaten down and broken hearted.
Of course, that was always the ending. Right now? Well, right now, this thing he had with Allyce, whatever it may be; this was new. It was the beginning of something he'd foreseen to be amazing. Even against the wishes of others, Tyler had already set out in his mind that he and Allyce would make something beautiful with what they were given. She'd been through a lot; even in the short time that he'd come to know her, he knew the truth behind that statement. And while he was setting his own demons aside to assist her, he couldn't help but want to be there for her in any way possible. He wasn't sure what it was, but one look from that redheaded wonder, made him weak in the knees and the butterflies would run rapid fluttering against the walls of his hallowed stomach, as they tried their best to get out and take notice to the trouble they'd soon cause. Down to it, he liked being around her. She made him happy; she was fun, and spirited. Granted she had a few self esteem problems, and needed to be reassured of certain things a few times past often, he overlooked the annoyance that his sister had pointed out, and anything beyond that had transformed itself into said blissful unawareness. The boy had went far enough to make it a point to meet this girl. The one he'd heard so much about from so many people, including every sibling he had, yet hadn't laid eyes upon. The way Kemp talked about her was far different than that of Logan, yet his baby sister's beau had vision of the redhead that had Tyler over his quota for rationalization; he needed to know her. And that's exactly what he had set out to do.
He couldn't remember his walk there. His mind was full of chaos as his feet shuffled against the cool cement sidewalk that lead up to the apartment complex that he'd only personally been to a few times shorthand. Logan lived there, and if things went well enough, he'd be taking over the payment on her apartment, when she decided to go live in sin with her boyfriend, another girl and ironically a guy named so. Ty had only met them for a short time, before he was shipped off. He'd recently got back from schooling up north, after a long six month excavation networking class that he seemingly moved continents to gather after. Of course, that wasn't the first time he'd been away from home. To be quite honest, next to Xavier who had left for the better part of Tyler's adult life, Ty was the second most absent family member that held the Garrett name. While the rest of his siblings despised their father's lifestyle, Tyler had taken it upon himself to get a hand in that money at a short age. Put a little in the bank, save in stock and for lack of a better term, watch it rise. He'd found a way to cheat his father out of his money legally, without having to play hand in what he was doing, pants on or off. Sully was disliked by all of his children, but he had given Tyler something that he'd appreciated. A life. He didn't have to accept the fact that he was his son, and while none of the family actually speak of those matters, he always felt as if he was in debt to his father. Which meant when Sully wanted something, something reasonable, Tyler would be the one to ask. And the only one who could ever change his views on that, was their mother. Who he had the most respect for in the world, since the moment he was sat down and told the truth.
Ty had barely made it through the door, and not more than a few steps into the lobby, before his attention was directed toward the sound of his name coming off from newly familiar lips. The boy smiled, pausing for a moment, as she stepped toward him; her small hand slithering into lock with his own, as she pressed said sweet lips against his cheek and greeted him. "Well, hey there, beautiful." The rough tone of his throat sprawled out with that famous southern drawl, as his hand met the small of her back. He could tell she was in a rush, and it wasn't just because she was eager to get that question out of him. He had to admit that he was curious, and as she let her fingers lace with his own, he gripped hers a fraction tighter. "Whoa, whoa, there sugar..." He started, his boots coming to a dead stop as he gave a gentle tug to wing her back into his direction and stop her from leading him astray.
